Bentonite
Powder
provides an impressive assortment of minerals, including calcium,
iron, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, manganese, and silica as well as
trace elements-those appearing in very tiny amounts. Without the
basic minerals, life cannot exist; without the trace minerals, major
deficiencies will develop. The lack of either will make it impossible
for the body to maintain good health. Bentonite is one of the most
effective natural intestinal detoxifying agents available. Bentonite
in ages past was blown into the sky by volcanic action, then sifted
down to the earth to help impregnate the soil with its 25 to 35 trace
minerals. The value of montmorillonite(the active ingredient in
bentonite) lies in its ability to adsorb (not absorb) many times its
own weight and volume in an aqueous medium. It has predominantly
negative charge that is capable of attracting many kinds of
positively charged particles. Its negative charge enables it to puck
up positively charged, toxic material from the alimentary canal to be
expelled in the feces. The adsorption is a rapid process and can
quickly neutralize allergens before they attach themselves to blood
cells, thus preventing allergic reaction. There is no evidence that
bentonite has any chemical action on the body. Its power is purely
physical. Studies have also found that the montmorllonite in the
Detoxificant removes bacteria and thus can help relieve symptoms of
diarrhea, abdominal cramps, malaise, headaches and nausea.
