Cloves has antiseptic and antiparasitic properties, and acts as a digestive aid. It is used to help with removal of parasites from the body, bad breath, toothache, stomach cramps and diarrhea.

 Wormwood or Artemesia absinthium is antiseptic, antispasmodic, stimulant, stomachic. It is used for indigestion, gastric pain, and a lack of appetite, as well as the related problems of heartburn and flatulence. It is also said to be helpful for liver insufficiency by stimulating liver and gallbladder secretions. Wormwood tea has been recommended to help relieve pain during labor. The powdered flowering tops have been used to expel intestinal worms.
